AS FASHION MAKES SOME STRIDES TOWARD SUSTAINABILITY AND CIRCULARITY, WE ARE DETERMINED TO EVOLVE OUR PRACTICES AND OPTIMIZE OUR ECO-STANDARDS TO THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE LEVEL.

Speaking of which, DEMOBAZA has been working on decreasing our carbon footprint since day one. The brand’s DNA is firmly rooted in the idea of returning to nature and having a healthy relationship with our planet Earth. Thus, by protecting the natural world around us, we can protect our mental health and live a harmonious and happy life.

But do we actually do? Yes, DEMOBAZA is a fashion brand with season collections, but a firm belief, that our high-quality clothes and accessories are beyond trends and can last a lifetime, especially if handled with care. If not, we offer free repairs and fabrics.

DEMOBAZA’s design and development process is done in-house. Our founders Demo and Tono sketch, cut and sew all prototypes and samples, thus eliminating the impact from back-and-forth shipping. As for the quality control before and during production, we rely on working with long-term and trusted partners and communicating digitally.

Speaking for production, DEMOBAZA is made in Bulgaria. We employ multiple and predominantly small family-owned manufacturing and production facilities all over the country. Only our sunglasses collection is manufactured in Italy. We tend to stick to working with a dozen fabrics and a few trusted manufactures in order to lower the impact.

In addition, DEMOBAZA is in the final stages of relocating its headquarters in the Bulgarian countryside, which will allow the company to concentrate its design, sample development, marketing department and other processes in one place and thus further reducing our carbon impact in the foreseeable future.

But before that some details about our fabrics and materials: we use Egyptian organic cotton, recycled and certified polyester and wool from Italy, Japan, Germany, Greece, Turkey, France, Switzerland, Portugal and Belgium. The soles of our shoes are made of plant-based rubber. All certified fabrics are sourced to have underwent an eco-friendly treatment.

We strive to use all and reduce waste. Out SS24 and АW24 collection use deadstock fabrics from our storage, that have been used before in previous collections. We don’t throw away, but just repurpose. Our leftovers are currently being developed as limited wall art pieces. The packaging is also made of biodegradable paper.

Complementing our ethos, DEMOBAZA’s advertising campaigns try to reinforce our healthy connection to nature and focus public attention on the extreme beauty of our natural habitat. We invite anyone to return to nature in a responsible way, which is why we shoot our lookbooks and key visuals with small local teams, often working remote and communicating digitally with the team.

As technology advances, we can and we will be more sustainable. All new addition to our sustainability commitment will be listed here.
